Waxing

Waxing Tips:

In order for waxing to be successful, the hair needs to be about a quarter of an inch long plus 10 to 14 days of growth. This especially applies to first-time clients who have been shaving. One thing to avoid is waxing too soon after shaving. Stubble is awful to take up if the hair is too short.

Loofah, Loofah, Loofah your bikini line, legs, back, or chest GENTLY the night before your Wax, then following your wax you will want to continue to gently exfoliate the area to avoid ingrown hairs.

Remember the day of your Brazilian or Bikini wax come to the appointment all showered up and clean. If you are a little anxious about the whole process, some people have mentioned that Advil or Motrin helps.

FAQ's

WHAT IS A BRAZILIAN WAX?

The Brazilian waxing removes all hair from your nether regions, as painlessly as possible. You can choose to have it all removed, or you can leave a small strip.

DOES WAXING HURT?

Yes of course ripping hair out of follicles is never going to be comfortable. However, A helpful hint for reducing the pain would be to avoid waxing four days before your period, and four days after your period. We can still perform a waxing service for you during this time but just note it will be a little more uncomfortable.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER A BRAZILIAN?

For those of you who are getting a Brazilian Waxing for the first time, you may feel a little uncomfortable after the waxing. The coarser your hair and the more sensitive your skin, the more sensitivity you will feel afterward. The best way to minimize the discomfort is to take an ibuprofen an hour before you wax, and another one after you wax.

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT AFTER SHAVING TO GET A BRAZILIAN WAXING?

The hair needs to be a quarter of an inch long. I also recommend you allow it to grow another 10 to 14 days. That way all the stubble can be waxed as well. If you have never waxed before and you want to be as smooth as possible for a special event I would suggest you plan at least two waxing appointments before the event. This way, the first wax, which is more uncomfortable, is out of the way. After the second wax, the results will be better and you will not be uncomfortable for your special event.

HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS OF A WAXING LAST?

Hair grows at different rates, depending on the person, and the cultural background. If you have been shaving for a long time understand that shaved hair grows back in cycles. After a first wax, the shaved hair may begin to appear within a few days. (This happens more frequently if the client does not wait for all the hair to grow out.) For shavers, every single hair will not be able to be removed due to the hair cycle, but within two to three visits you will become baby-smooth and the hair will grow noticeably finer, and the growth with be slower.

CAN I GET A BRAZIALLIN WHILE ON MY PERIOD?

Yes, but please come clean and you must wear a tampon, also understand you will be more sensitive.

WHEN CAN’T I WAX?

If you all into any of the following categories we will not be able to provide a waxing service because it can cause your skin to tear and may result in hyperpigmentation or scarring.

  • If you use any retinol products  i.e  Retin A, Renova, etc. on your bikini or brows
  • If you are an Accutane user or have used it in the past 6 mts.
  • Diabetics. Please supply a doctor’s note allowing the service.
  • Sunburnt

CAN I GO TANNING BEFORE OR AFTER A WAX?

Not recommended. Your skin will be sensitive after the waxing because it has been exfoliated.
