Understanding Microcurrent

WHAT IS MICROCURRENT?

To put it simply Microcurrent is a low level of current used to mimic the body’s own electrical current, working at a cellular level to restore the damaged cells.
WHAT ARE SOME BENIFETS OF MICROCURRENT?

Microcurrent has a long list of benefits so I will only highlight a few. Since the 1900’s scientist have discovered with the use of Microcurrent our ATP (an organic chemical compound that provides energy to our cells.) production increases by up to 500%. Why is this important? Our ATP levels peek at age 20 and by the time we reach 70 our ATP production is reduced by 50%. With the loss of ATP cells will not function properly and the body begins to break down showing the visible signs of aging.
With the increase of ATP in the cell you will see the following results over a period of time:

• Diminished or eliminated fine lines, creases and wrinkles

• Hydrates, revitalizes, and rejuvenates the skin

• Tightens sagging jowls, double chin, and fatty cheeks

• Aids in acne treatments

• Reduces dark circles or puffiness under the eyes

• Reduces symptoms of rosacea

• Minimizes large pores

• Increases blood circulation by 38%

• Increases lymphatic drainage by 28%

• Increases production of collagen by 14%

• Increases production of elastins by 48%
DOES THIS TREATMENT HURT?

No not at all. As a matter of fact if you can feel the current it is up to high. In this case no pain no gain is not in your best interest. During this treatment the esthetician performs a series of manipulations to achieve what sometimes is referred to as muscle re-education, or lengthening and shortening of the muscles to either relax those deep wrinkles across the forehead, or tighten (shorten) those sagging jowls. Results usually can be seen after the first application.

With each treatment, ATP levels are stock-piled, or stored, making the results cumulative. An increased level of ATP allows muscles to stay in the re-educated position for longer periods of time. This is why the best results are obtained when we do a series of treatments.
WHO CANT DO MICROCURRENT?

Microcurrent should not be used if the following conditions exist:

Pregnancy

Seizures, epilepsy

Phlebitis, thrombosis

Broken or inflamed areas of skin

Active Acne

Uncontrolled diabetes

Viral Lesions, Herpes

Pacemakers

Heart surgery in the past year

Metal implants: with a doctor’s consent form

Cancer: with a doctor’s consent form

Strongly suggest not having injectables within three weeks prior to

Microcurrent treatment.
